Costs For Research

My basic rate for research is £25 per hour.

The number of hours for the commission will be agreed with the client prior to any work being undertaken and estimates can be given on request.  

I do have  a minimum charge of 2 hours ie £50. A deposit will be requested from any new client.

(If travel must be undertaken to other locations beyond Edinburgh, this may necessitate further expenses. I will agree this with clients, however, before I proceed.)

If copies of certificates or other documents are required, these will be charged for separately. The time taken for the commission will include time for the research, time for compiling the genealogy report and time to compile a basic family tree.

Payment is generally by bank transfer.  Please note that if paying by Paypal, however, an additional 5% must be added to any fee, to cover commissions that are charged by the company.
